Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in practice development to lead CPD initiatives and supervise nursing learners across Featherstone Road Clinic in Southall. The role requires strong teaching and assessment skills and a commitment to high-standard practice.

The post supports national policy and clinical governance through structured supervision, preceptorship and quality assurance projects, with a fixed-term 6-month contract and Band 7 salary.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with UK registration.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Experience in education, supervision or practice development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to supporting and developing practice placements and the practice supervisor and assessor role, ensuring placements and support for nursing learners are of a high standard in line with NMC requirements.
• Contribute to ensuring continuous professional development opportunities for nursing staff, supporting nursing recruitment, retention and development of internationally educated nurses.
• Ensure robust induction and preceptorship for staff in line with the HEE framework.
• Undertake audit of clinical activity, performance and health outcomes.
• Support dissemination and introduction of practice standards related to competency expectations for registered nurses.
• Contribute to clinical supervision arrangements and monitoring.
• Provide direct training and teaching to nurses.
