Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of developmental support and programmesfor care support workerswithin the Trust.

A keyresponsibility will be to co-ordinate and deliver with departmental colleagues the Care Certificate induction, ensuring delivery of theory and clinical skills based on evidence-based practice.

The post holder will work collaboratively with other clinical training leads within the Trust in the formulation of programmes to develop healthcare support workers to include those who support nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals.

The post holder will regularlyworkclinicallywithCSWsenablingtheirsupportandmaintenanceofclinical skills.

Qualifications
  • NMC registration

Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical /management experience.
  • Experience of working with senior managers in the organisation to identify and support skills development
  • Substantial experience of supervision and assessment of learners within the clinical setting
  • Evidence of successful development of the clinical learning environment for students
  • Evidence of development of interprofessional learning opportunities
  • Evidence of formal teaching and programme planning
Skills
  • Able to respond rapidly and authoritatively to changing organisational situations and to reset objectives
  • Experience in communicating sensitive and challenging information
  • Able to think creatively, analyse and solve complex problems
Knowledge
  • Understanding of audit and evaluation processes
  • Understanding of the requirements for Preceptorship using best practice guidelines
  • Understanding of quality monitoring processes
