Job summary

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Practice Development Nurse (Band 7) to join the Paediatric Services team at Watford General Hospital. The role focuses on clinical leadership, education and development of the paediatric workforce to improve care for children and their families.

You will provide expert paediatric advice, lead education and clinical skills development, and drive quality improvement, governance and evidence-based practice across services

Qualifications

• Registered paediatric nurse with current NMC registration.
• Post-registration paediatric nursing experience.
• APLS or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership and paediatric advice across services.
• Lead education, training, induction, preceptorship and clinical skills development.
• Support quality improvement, audits, governance and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with the Paediatric Senior Nursing Team and Ward Managers.
• Develop relationships with governance, IPC, safeguarding and education teams.
• Work across paediatric areas and Trust sites as required.
