Practice Accountant

My client, a successful accountancy practice based in Cheltenham, are looking to add a Practice Accountant to their team to work in a Client Manager capacity and to aid with their continued growth plans.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Practice Accountant:

Ø Managing your own portfolio of clients, from across a broad spectrum

Ø Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual accounts, Payroll preparation

Ø Handling client, HMRC and other third party associated queries

Ø Working with other Client Managers and the Director to improve processes

Ø Act as a role model to more junior team members

Required Skills and Qualifications of the Practice Accountant:

Ø AAT Level 4 minimum requirement

Ø Previous experience within a practice environment is essential

Ø Proven payroll experience

Ø Strong IT skills and prior use of Xero is highly desirable

Ø Ability to review less complex jobs

Ø Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to nurture strong colleague and client relationships

My client is offering a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
