Practice Accountant

My client, a successful accountancy practice based in Cheltenham, are looking to add a Practice Accountant to their team to work in a Client Manager capacity and to aid with their continued growth plans.

What are the day–to–day responsibilities of the Practice Accountant:

??Managing your own portfolio of clients, from across a broad spectrum

??Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual accounts, Payroll preparation

??Handling client, HMRC and other third party associated queries

??Working with other Client Managers and the Director to improve processes

??Act as a role model to more junior team members

Required Skills and Qualifications of the Practice Accountant:

??AAT Level 4 minimum requirement

??Previous experience within a practice environment is essential

??Proven payroll experience

??Strong IT skills and prior use of Xero is highly desirable

??Ability to review less complex jobs

??Excellent communication and inter–personal skills, with the ability to nurture strong colleague and client relationships

My client is offering a salary of 30,000 – 40,000 depending on experience
