Outcomes First Group's Acorn Education division in Suffolk seeks a Vehicle Mechanics Instructor to deliver hands-on learning that builds practical skills, confidence and independence for pupils with special educational needs. You’ll work with the Headteacher to shape engaging mechanics lessons and adapt the curriculum to individual needs.

You will promote safe, inclusive classrooms, use assessments to track progress, and help pupils achieve positive outcomes while contributing to the wider

Qualifications

• UK QTS is desirable; industry experience welcomed.
• UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience teaching mechanics to pupils preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning in Mechanics.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate an engaging Mechanics curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports progress and achievement.
• Deliver motivating, well-structured lessons with high expectations for all learners.
• Provide personalised and differentiated learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
• Maintain high expectations while building fair, respectful, and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Use assessment effectively to track progress, address misconceptions, and inform future planning.
