Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Technician or mechanic with hands-on skill.
• Ability to teach and share practical skills with learners.
• UK driving licence required; QTS is desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver vehicle maintenance and mechanics based learning.
• Teach practical skills through hands-on activities and real-world examples.
• Take responsibility for the quality and development of the vehicle technician provision.
• Adapt activities for different abilities and learning needs.
• Create a positive environment where pupils build confidence and practical skills.
• Use assessment to track progress and plan next steps.
• Embed literacy, numeracy and digital skills within practical learning.
• Contribute to the wider curriculum and support other learning.
