Job summary

The Guardian Selection Limited in Hull is seeking a skilled Practical Tutor to support learners through hands-on activities and help them build practical skills for future employment.

The ideal candidate has strong practical or vocational experience, excellent communication, and classroom management. Role starts as soon as possible with a salary of £30,000-£38,000 per year, and DBS/background checks are required.

About the Role

As a Practical Tutor, you will support learners through practical, hands‑on learning activities, helping them develop technical skills while also encouraging positive attitudes towards education and future employment. You will create a structured and supportive learning environment and adapt your approach to suit individual abilities and needs.

To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Provide an up‑to‑date CV and references covering the last 2 years.
• Have recent experience working with children or young people, where applicable.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
