Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is partnering with a specialist education setting in Totnes, Devon, seeking a practical Multi-Trades Teacher or Tutor to inspire students aged 11–19 with hands-on trade skills.

The role welcomes experienced tradespeople or former teachers, with a focus on safety, employability and real-world relevance; teaching experience is helpful but not essential, and a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more trades, with hands-on practical skills.
• Experience teaching or working with young people is a plus but not required.
• Relevant trade qualifications or significant industry experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering practical learning across one or more trade areas.
• Helping pupils develop employability and life skills.
• Creating a safe, engaging and well-organised workshop environment.
• Promoting safe working practices and health and safety.
• Supporting behaviour, engagement and confidence of pupils.
• Preparing learners for further education, apprenticeships and employment.
