Job summary

Matalan seeks a creative PR & Influencer Manager to lead consumer PR and influencer strategy, building strong relationships with UK media, creators and tastemakers. You’ll shape storytelling across campaigns, products and partnerships to drive visibility and commercial impact.

You will manage partnerships, events and an always-on press approach, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure aligned messaging and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Excellent media relations skills and established networks across journalists, editors, influencers and talent partners.
• Experience operating at manager level within PR, influencer marketing, communications or media relations.
• Strong storytelling, copywriting and narrative development skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated consumer PR and influencer strategy.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, creators and tastemakers.
• Create compelling press and creator-led storytelling around campaigns and partnerships.
• Identify ambassadors, creators and content partners who can authentically tell the Matalan story.
• Lead proactive PR and influencer campaigns that drive reach, engagement and brand consideration.
• Shape an always-on product press office aligned with product and commercial teams.
• Deliver impactful press, influencer and experiential events.
• Spot cultural moments and opportunities for distinctive earned media and creator opportunities.
• Oversee agency partners, influencer platforms (LTK) and budgets with clear success measures.
• Lead, coach and inspire the team and collaborate with brand, social and corporate PR teams.
