Job summary

TWI is seeking a proactive PR Executive to join our Global Marketing Department in Cambridge. This permanent, part-time-leaning role supports corporate PR, Chief Executive engagements and strategic stakeholder meetings, driving a UK and global outreach programme.

You will collaborate with the CEO and teams to plan high-profile visits, coordinate media coverage and manage social output, especially on LinkedIn.

Qualifications

Description of role:

TWI is seeking a proactive and experienced PR Executive to join our Global Marketing Department and support an exciting programme of corporate public relations, Chief Executive engagements and strategic meetings with industry and government stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled communications professional to develop and deliver a UK and global outreach programme, engaging with the media, priority industrial member organisations, government functions and other key stakeholders.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and colleagues across TWI, you will help create high profile visits, secure strategically positioned meetings and coordinate communications activity that strengthens TWI’s profile and influence.

What you will be doing

• Designing, planning and delivering a programme of high profile visits involving TWI industrial members, training partners, professional members and customers
• Identifying engagement opportunities in collaboration with colleagues across Industrial Membership, Business Development, Professional Affairs, Training and Corporate Marketing
• Planning and delivering social media activity following press and stakeholder engagements, primarily through LinkedIn
• Supporting the administration of the Chief Executive’s LinkedIn and Bluesky accounts in line with agreed communications plans and governance
• Building and maintaining relationships with media contacts across technical, national and digital publications
• Arranging appropriate media coverage for visits and working with internal and external stakeholders to maximise impact

You will also bring

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn
• Experience managing communications campaigns for high profile individuals, executive board members or C Suite leaders
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Experience developing and delivering coordinated communications plans
• The ability to work successfully as part of a wider content marketing team
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
• Experience within engineering, technology or research would be advantageous, as would experience supporting strategic industrial or government engagement. An established media network within relevant technical or national sectors would also be beneficial.

Working hours
