Job summary

Capital&Centric in Manchester is seeking a PR & Engagement Coordinator to tell our story across communities, media and public consultations. You’ll be the sole person with a 100% PR focus, working with the Head of Marketing & Comms and external agencies.

You’ll run public consultations, pitch stories, manage media enquiries and help protect our reputation as a leading regeneration developer with social impact and placemaking at heart.

Qualifications

• Experience in a press office, PR agency or in-house comms role with proven coverage.
• Experience with local authorities or the public sector is a plus.
• Confidently pitching journalists and building media relationships from scratch.
• Outstanding writing across press releases, comment pieces and consultation reports.
• Hands-on experience with PR outreach and media monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Shape and write compelling press stories about company updates.
• Proactively pitch stories to regional, national, trade and specialist media.
• Plan and host public consultations with communities and stakeholders.
• Monitor coverage, track impact and brief the team.
• Support spokespeople with briefing notes and interview prep.
