Job summary

Fairmont St Andrews is seeking a PPM Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Operating on a four on, four off shift, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance across guest bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities to keep our luxury resort running smoothly.

You will repair FF&E, support HVAC systems, assist with in-room technology, and resolve issues promptly with minimal guest disruption, while working with colleagues to uphold the highest safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience within maintenance, engineering or a similar hands-on technical role.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement practical solutions.
• Strong awareness of health and safety in a busy hotel environment.
• Proven organisational skills and reliability in a dynamic, guest-facing setting.
• Ability to deliver maintenance work with minimal disruption to guests.
• Positive, proactive approach in a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across guest bedrooms, public areas and other areas of the resort.
• Maintain and repair guest-related FF&E, ensuring equipment is safe, functional and well presented.
• Support the maintenance and upkeep of HVAC systems across guest areas.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of guest-related IT and in-room technology.
• Carry out minor repair and improvement works across guest and public areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns, identifying and resolving root causes where possible.
• Complete routine inspections to identify potential maintenance issues before they impact the guest experience.
• Work closely with colleagues across the hotel to minimise disruption while maintenance work is carried out.
• Ensure all tools, equipment and work areas are maintained to the highest safety and cleanliness standards.
• Follow all health, safety and Engineering procedures at all times.
• Support the wider Engineering team with additional maintenance tasks and projects as required.
