Job summary

Premier Fire, part of the Obsequio Group, is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to support the PPM and Reactive team in Southampton and the wider Hampshire area. You will deliver scheduled maintenance and reactive services for fire and security systems, coordinating with line managers and stakeholders to meet service targets.

Role includes joining a on-call rota, with 2 days/nights every 13 days, and travel to predominantly public sector sites such as schools and healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire alarm and security systems listed is essential.
• Security systems experience is desirable with training provided.
• Willingness to join the call-out rota and travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
• Attend reactive call outs for fire, intruder and security systems.
• Maintain sites such as schools, colleges, libraries and healthcare facilities.
• Work independently with clear communication to managers.
• Deliver high-quality service within deadlines.

About the Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer within Premier’s PPM & Reactive team, you will support the successful delivery of fire and security maintenance and reactive maintenance. You will be responsible for achieving your service schedules to the levels expected by the company and communicating with line managers and other stakeholders.

Role would require inclusion onto the company Call Out Rota. This is currently running at 2 days/nights every 13 days.

Key Responsibilities

• An all-round and competent engineer with good knowledge of both Fire and security systems.
• Primarily undertaking Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
• Providing, when required, attendance to undertake reactive call outs for both fire, intruder and security systems.
• Sites maintained would be predominantly public sector buildings, such as schools, colleges, libraries, etc. However, the area of operation would also cover private education and healthcare sites.
• Able to work effectively using own initiative
• Good written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Customer-focused with a professional and responsive attitude.
• Problem-solving approach and a proactive mindset.
