Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is recruiting a PPA Teacher for a lively Leyland primary school starting January 2027. You will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across year groups, cover PPA time, assess pupil progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom.

This role is full-time for one term with a strong chance of extension or permanent placement, depending on school needs. We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators seeking a fresh

Qualifications

Contract: Full-time, initially for one term (with the potential to be extended)

Salary: M1-M6 (dependent on experience)

We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Leyland that is seeking an enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time role for the rest of the academic year, with the possibility of the position going permanent.

Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop your teaching experience or an experienced teacher seeking a fresh challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons across different year groups in line with the National Curriculum.
• Cover classes while teachers are released for their PPA time.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different pupils and abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Establish strong relationships with pupils and maintain effective classroom management.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and colleagues to ensure consistency and the best outcomes for pupils.
• Attend staff meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching across the primary age range, including placements for ECTs.
• Is confident teaching different year groups and adapting quickly to new classrooms.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
• Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is flexible, enthusiastic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
