McLaren Automotive is seeking a senior Powertrain Programme Lead to drive delivery across multiple Powertrain programmes. You will shape strategy, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance and Purchasing.

The role requires strategic thinking and proven capability in complex programme leadership within the automotive sector. You will partner with senior stakeholders to balance risk, cost and timing while ensuring alignment with corporate

Formación

• Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent demonstrable technical and programme leadership experience.
• Substantial experience leading complex automotive Powertrain programmes in an OEM or Tier One environment.
• Demonstrable programme and project management capability, including planning, governance, risk management and delivery against objectives.
• Broad understanding of Powertrain systems, delivery lifecycle, and interfaces with Purchasing, supplier liaison and Manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Own the Powertrain programme delivery strategy and operating plan across the portfolio.
• Be accountable for programme outcomes across technical content, quality, timing, cost, weight and delivery risk.
• Agree technical content, targets, priorities and decision points for each programme with the team.
• Coordinate Function Group management to maximise synergies and ensure delivery in line with timing.
• Define and agree Function Group project budgets; monitor expenditures and variances.
• Allocate headcount and resources, resolving capacity or capability constraints.
• Lead cross-functional activities to define and manage the project Bill of Materials.
• Ensure Weight Management process is followed and weight targets are achieved.
• Collaborate with Quality teams to meet corporate quality goals.
• Represent the Function Group in governance with performance and milestone reporting.
• Identify and escalate risks, drive robust closure and manage supplier capabilities.
• Engage suppliers and engineering partners evaluating technical and commercial risks.
• Attend reviews of Powertrain design, release, development and validation plans.
• Embed Lessons Learned to improve standards and future performance.
• Provide leadership, set objectives and review performance.
• Develop organisational capability through workforce planning and succession planning.
