Dementia UK seeks a Power BI Developer to design and maintain business intelligence solutions. The role involves transforming data into insights, supporting strategic outcomes, and working closely with stakeholders. Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia: a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime, either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support, and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible, for as long as possible.

Join Dementia UK as a Power BI Developer, where you'll play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Your main focus will be transforming raw data into meaningful insights to inform decision-making across the organisation.
You will work proactively with stakeholders to understand their data needs, supporting the Head of IT Data and System Development, Enterprise and Data Architect in shaping Dementia UK’s data strategy. Your dashboards will provide real-time analytics and trend analysis, helping the organisation identify opportunities and address challenges swiftly.
By automating data integration and reporting processes, you will streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and minimise errors, boosting efficiency and productivity. Your expertise in data modelling will ensure complex data sets are presented clearly, making them accessible and actionable for colleagues across the charity.
This position supports the IT team in harnessing data more effectively to drive strategic outcomes. It aligns with the BCS SFIAplus IT Skills framework, covering Business Intelligence, Data Visualisation, and Data Modelling and Design.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or with equivalent industry qualifications, proficient in Power BI, and skilled in analytical thinking. Experience in data preparation and warehousing projects, familiarity with the Microsoft BI stack and SQL, and a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and unstructured data transformation are essential. Strong problem-solving abilities are also required.
