Job summary

Kemp Eko Talent Ltd is recruiting an experienced Operations Technician to join the site operations team at a modern gas power station. You will operate and monitor plant systems to ensure safe, efficient power generation and maintain accurate shift logs and handovers.

Key responsibilities include start-ups, shutdowns, routine inspections, supporting permit-to-work, responding to alarms, and assisting with outages and contractor supervision, all while upholding HSE standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as Operations Technician or similar in power generation.
• Ability to operate and monitor plant systems safely and efficiently.
• Strong commitment to HSE legislation and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant systems to ensure safe, efficient power generation.
• Carry out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers per procedures.
• Ensure plant stays within parameters while complying with HSE and site rules.
• Support permit-to-work including isolations, lock-off and safe systems of work.
• Respond to faults, alarms, and abnormal conditions to minimise downtime.
• Assist with planned outages, maintenance activities and contractor supervision.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, shift reports and handovers.
• Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to site continuous improvement.
