Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) in the Bedford region. The role offers £37,000–£38,750 basic, overtime (OTE £60K+), a company vehicle, training and clear technical progression, plus enhanced pension and package.

You will service CHP and gas engines, perform electrical fault finding, and work with a network of renewables-focused equipment. Monday to Friday, covering surrounding territory.

Qualifications

• Experience with 450KW+ engines or systems.
• Familiar with CHP, Gas Engines, Generators or industrial plant.
• Experience as a Service/Maintenance/Marine Engineer.
• Electrical or Mechanical qualifications or time served (NVQ, HNC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and breakdowns.
• Work on CHP, gas engines and renewable energy systems.
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC).
• Customer facing role.
• Monday to Friday covering surrounding territory.
