Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) in Bedford. The role offers a solid base salary with overtime prospects and a company vehicle in a renewable energy setting.

You will service and maintain CHP and gas engines, work on electrical faults, and travel within a defined territory. The ideal candidate has experience with 450KW+ equipment, understands CHP systems, and holds electrical or mechanical qualifications or time served.

Qualifications

• Experience working with CHP, gas engines or industrial generators is essential.
• Electrical/mechanical qualifications or time served (NVQ/HNC or equivalent).
• Experience as a service/maintenance engineer or marine engineer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and breakdowns of CHP, gas engines and renewable energy systems.
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC).
• Customer facing role requiring clear communication and on-site problem solving.
• Monday to Friday covering surrounding territory.
