Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanic to train into Power Generation, maintaining heavy engines and CHP equipment across the South East. You’ll join a growing team with full training, a generous package and clear progression.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer or Mechanic with maintenance and repair experience.

• Open to candidates from army/REME/HGV/Power Generation/heavy plant backgrounds.
• Willing to travel across the South East.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of heavy industrial engines and CHP/gas engines.
• Perform preventative, reactive and breakdown service tasks.
• Fault diagnosis with thorough record keeping.
• 1 in 5 call out rota with standby and enhanced rates.

Are you a mechanical engineer or mechanic with experience working on engines, looking to train into becoming a Power Generation Engineer where you will gain a skillset within the renewable energy industry securing yourself a futureproof job?

The Role:

• Service and maintenance of heavy industrial engines, along with other power generation equipment such as CHP engines, Gas Reciprocating Engines and more.
• Preventative, reactive and breakdown services.
• Fault diagnosis – with record keeping and log taking.
• 1 in 5 call out rota – paid at a standby rate AND enhanced rate.
• Training and excellent benefits provided.

The Candidate:

• Mechanical Engineer or Mechanic – experience in maintenance and repair.
• Time served or qualified.
• Experience in petrol / diesel engine maintenance / overhauls / repairs.
• Perfect for those in army, REME, HGV Mechanics, Power Generation, agricultural or heavy plant industries.
• Happy to travel across the South East.
