Job summary

Graphcore in Bristol, UK is seeking a Hardware Validation & Debug Engineer specializing in power electronics to validate power systems for AI compute hardware. You will lead bring-up, debug power delivery networks, and assess rail sequencing, ripple, noise and thermal performance on real hardware under demanding conditions.

This hands-on role requires independent ownership, use of high‑end test equipment, and clear reporting to hardware and firmware teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on hardware validation and debug experience on power delivery systems.
• Experience validating multi‑phase SMPS and power delivery networks.
• Ability to debug PCB, power integrity and signal integrity problems to root cause.
• Knowledge of voltage rail validation, sequencing, transient response, ripple, noise and thermal behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring‑up activity for new hardware platforms and validate power delivery.
• Investigate failures and perform power integrity analysis to drive corrective actions.
• Prepare clear debug reports and coordinate actions across hardware and firmware teams.
• Work with lab teams to use high‑end test equipment for thorough validation.
