Job summary

EngineersOfAI Bristol is seeking a Validation and Debug Engineer to validate power systems for advanced AI compute platforms. You will build bring-up plans, validate SMPS and power rails, analyse ripple and thermal performance, and drive actions across hardware and firmware teams to meet product conditions.

This hands-on role requires ownership of lab work, failure investigations and clear debug reporting, collaborating with Architecture, Silicon, Hardware, Firmware and PCB teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware validation and debug experience for bring-up
• Experience validating multi-phase SMPS and power delivery networks
• Ability to debug PCB, power, SI and interface issues to root cause
• Knowledge of voltage rail validation, sequencing, transient response, ripple and thermal behaviour
• Proficient use of lab instrumentation (high-bandwidth scopes, analysers, loads and analysers)
• Ability to work independently and drive issue resolution across teams

Responsibilities

• Create and execute bring-up and validation plans for new hardware platforms
• Investigate failures and analyse power integrity with clear actionables
• Own bring-up activity and drive root cause analysis across hardware and firmware
• Collaborate with Architecture, Silicon, Hardware, Firmware, PCB and power/signal integrity teams
