Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Power Electronics Technical Lead, Motor Drives, based in Stevenage with hybrid working. The role leads power electronics across multiple defence projects and acts as the technical voice for the team.

You’ll need PMSM motor control or motor drive design, experience with inverters, gate drives, current sensing and mixed analogue/digital control electronics. A British Citizen is required for security clearance.

Formación

• Strong power electronics design background with PMSM motor control or motor drive experience.
• Hands-on design across analogue and digital control electronics, including inverters and gate drives.
• Experience across the full product development lifecycle, from concept to release.
• Ability to review plans and assist gate reviews with cost-effective technical input.
• Security clearance requirements: British Citizen.

Responsabilidades

• Be the go-to technical voice on power electronics and process questions across the team.
• Maintain close visibility to each Tech Lead’s project to spot issues early.
• Review project plans and help teams prepare for gate reviews, including pre-reviews.
• Act as escalation point when a project needs a realistic technical answer.
• Help decide where work is best placed across projects and partners.
• Contribute technical input into bids for actuator and motor drive business.
• Identify and drive process improvements to maximise team performance.
