IC Resources is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to develop cutting-edge power circuits across the full product lifecycle in Nottingham, UK. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver robust hardware solutions from concept through production.

The role emphasizes analogue power electronics, DC-DC converters and motor control, with strong emphasis on simulation, validation and regulatory compliance. Nottingham-based with hybrid work options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of analogue electronics and power conversion techniques.
• Experience with schematic capture and laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of DC-DC converters, power management or motor control systems.
• Experience with simulation tools LTspice, PLECS or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of embedded control systems and EMC/regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems.
• Create schematics and support PCB design activities.
• Perform simulation, testing and validation of hardware designs.
• Support product development from concept through production.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues during development.
• Work closely with embedded, mechanical and systems engineers.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical decision making.
• Support manufacturing and product improvement activities.
