Shield AI is seeking a Power Engineer II to design, analyze, and validate power electronics for next-generation autonomous aircraft. You will work on HV/LV systems, DC-DC converters, inverters, and battery power management while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with aerospace standards.

The role involves full hardware development, PCB ownership, and cross-functional collaboration across Mechanical, Embedded, Software, and Production teams to drive timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with Altium or equivalent.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design Power Electronics for HV and LV systems, including DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor controllers.
• Own full hardware development lifecycle from concept to testing and validation.
• Drive PCB layout with ECAD engineers for power density, EMI, thermal, and manufacturability.
• Lead board bring up, testing, and HALT testing to meet aerospace standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, Embedded, Software, and Production teams.
