You will work on load flow and protection coordination studies, prepare specifications for transformers, switchgear and cables, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in power distribution engineering.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/ADEPT, ETAP).
• Strong understanding of distribution network design principles and equipment.
• Knowledge of South African electrical codes and utility standards.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical distribution systems, including substations and reticulation networks.
• Perform load flow, fault analysis, and protection coordination studies for distribution systems.
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and cables.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of distribution network components.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with planning teams, field operations, and other stakeholders.
