Job summary

VanRath is recruiting a Data Analyst specialising in Power BI & SQL to join the Business Transformation team in Northern Ireland. You will design reporting solutions, develop dashboards and analyse complex datasets to drive operational and strategic decisions, with emphasis on automation and AI-enabled analytics.

You will work with stakeholders, translate requirements into reporting deliverables, and help adopt Power Platform, Fabric and cloud data platforms in a collaborative, hybrid role that

Qualifications

  • Commercial experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience writing SQL queries with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards with Power BI.
  • Translate business requirements into reporting solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication.
  • Attention to data quality and accuracy.
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) desirable.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or cloud data platforms is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data modelling, reporting standards and data governance.
  • Interest in AI, automation and emerging data technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

My client, a well-established organisation undergoing significant digital transformation, is hiring a Data Analyst specialising in Power BI & SQL to join their Business Transformation team based in Northern Ireland. You will be joining a collaborative Business Transformation team responsible for delivering data-driven insights that influence operational and strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll design reporting solutions, analyse complex datasets and develop dashboards that provide valuable business intelligence. You'll also have the opportunity to support automation initiatives using Microsoft Power Platform and contribute to the adoption of AI-powered analytics capabilities.

The Person
