Job description

MCS Group is looking for an experienced BI Developer to join a team developing and improving its data visualisation, reporting and analytics capabilities.
The organisation is investing heavily in the Microsoft Power Platform, so strong Power Platform experience is a key requirement. However, this position may also be suitable for strong candidates with solid BI skill sets, who have developed BI and visualisation solutions using other platforms and are confident they can quickly adapt to a Microsoft-focused environment.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning data into useful, user-friendly solutions and can quickly become productive within a development team.

The Role

• Develop BI, reporting and data visualisation solutions
• Build dashboards, reports and data models
• Develop solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
• Build applications and workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical analytical solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data use and business processes
• Support the wider development of the organisation's Microsoft data and analytics capability

The Person

• Mid-level commercial experience as a BI Developer, Data Visualisation Developer, Analytics Developer or similar
• Strong experience with Power Platform, particularly Power BI
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable
• Good understanding of data modelling, reporting and analytics
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders
• Power Platform experience is key, but candidates with strong experience in other BI technologies such as Tableau, Qlik, Looker or similar will also be considered if they can demonstrate strong technical and data visualisation skills.

Fully on-site in Larne, 8:00am-4:30pm, with some flexibility around start and finish times.

Location: Larne (On-Site 4.5 - 5 days per Week)
Contract: 12-Month Temporary Contract (PAYE)
Rate: Hourly rate depending on experience
