Job summary

MARMION in Leeds is seeking a Data Analyst to join our established analytics team. You will design and deliver client dashboards across marketing, sales, e-commerce, inventory and operations, connecting sources like BigQuery and Google Sheets and building scalable data models.

You will work on Power BI reports with strong UX for non-technical users, perform data quality checks, manage data sharing and security, present insights to clients, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data & Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, BI Analyst or similar is essential.
• Experience in Marketing Agency/Consultancy or with eCommerce data.
• Power BI Desktop & Service experience is highly beneficial and related tools are acceptable.
• Reports and dashboards creation using Power Query, data models and DAX to generate business insights.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders; excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query).
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client projects.

Responsibilities

• Define client dashboard requirements with account managers and stakeholders.
• Design, build and maintain white-labelled Power BI reports for clients.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (marketing platforms, SQL databases, Excel).
• Build scalable data models and use DAX for KPIs and time-based metrics.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and secure sharing (Row-Level Security).
• Present dashboards to clients, explain insights, and refine reports per feedback.
• Troubleshoot data issues, monitor refreshes, ensure accuracy of reports.

We're searching for a talented Data Analyst to join our client's established Data Analytics team and support the design and delivery of custom dashboards for clients; working with data across marketing, sales, e-commerce, inventory, and operations – connecting sources such as BigQuery and Google Sheets, building scalable data models, and creating intuitive, insight-driven dashboards that support business decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Client Requirements & Scoping: Work with clients and account managers to define goals, key metrics, and dashboard requirements.
• Custom Power BI Development: Design, build, and maintain white‑labelled Power BI reports tailored to client needs, with intuitive UX for non‑technical users.
• Diverse Data Integration: Extract and transform data from a range of client sources, including marketing platforms, SQL databases, and Excel files.
• Data Modelling & DAX: Build scalable data models in Power BI and use advanced DAX to create KPIs, time‑based metrics, and cross‑functional reports.
• External Sharing & Security: Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and sharing, including Row‑Level Security to protect client data.
• Client Presentation & Support: Present dashboards to clients, explain insights, answer questions, and refine reports based on feedback.
• Data Quality Assurance: Troubleshoot data issues, monitor refreshes, and ensure the accuracy of client reporting.

Skills & Experience:

• Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates
• Previous experience as a Data & Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar is essential.
• Experience working in a Marketing Agency or Consultancy, or an internal role working with eCommerce data.
• Power BI Desktop and Service would be highly beneficial, similar technologies/systems experience is essential.
• Professional experience creating reports and dashboards, using Power Query, working with data models, and applying DAX to produce useful business insights.
• Confident communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and joining data from various relational databases.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Power Query.
• Great attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, pivot between different client requests, and make sense of unstructured client data.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and knowledge of Python or R would be desirable.
