Oscar Associates is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join its BI team in Doncaster, with 1–2 days onsite weekly. You will deliver end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI, DAX, and SQL, focusing on data ingestion, modelling, dashboards and governance.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, optimise Power BI environments and champion data quality, with some AI-enabled analytics initiatives.

Competenze

• 3+ years' professional BI analytics experience.
• Strong Power BI with semantic modelling, DAX & Power Query.
• Paginated reporting experience (SSRS / Power BI Report Builder).
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server / Azure SQL).
• ETL/ELT & data integration experience (Informatica).
• Dimensional modelling incl. Star Schema.
• BI models and performance optimisation experience.
• Power BI Service governance & administration knowledge.
• Experience in an Agile environment (Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of source control, deployments & testing.
• Excellent communication & business acumen; strong problem solving.

Mansioni

• Design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to business requirements.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse/lakehouse assets and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Gather requirements, define KPIs and translate business needs into technical specs.
• Develop semantic models and measures using Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
• Maintain BI solutions, including model performance, refresh reliability and accessibility.
• Present data-driven insights to stakeholders through clear storytelling.
• Maintain technical documentation covering data definitions, lineage, model design and refresh processes.
• Champion data quality, governance and security, including access controls and RLS.
• Apply best practices across semantic modelling, testing, source control and release management.
• Support Power BI Service administration, including workspaces, permissions, gateways and deployment pipelines.
• Support AI-enabled analytics adoption, including Copilot & natural-language Q&A.
