Job summary

EET Fuels, based at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, is seeking a Power and Control Maintenance Technician. This role involves preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. Ideal candidates will have a recognized apprenticeship and specific industry experience, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid COMPEX certifications in elements 1-4.
  • Experience in petro-chemical sector preferred.

  • Incorporate safe delivery of scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Test, inspect, install, repair, and replace as required.

  • *The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Maintenance team as a Power and Control Maintenance Technician. The role is responsible for carrying out all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on our electrical and instrumentation systems with an initial focus on electrical fixed wiring and associated test and inspection schedules.

The role is site based as part of a wider Production Unit focussed Maintenance Team.

The role requires extensive knowledge of refinery electrical infrastructure and an appreciation of refinery instrumentation and other digital systems. The role incorporates the safe delivery of ongoing scheduled maintenance activities including testing, inspection, installation, repair and replacement.

  • *About You

Our ideal candidate must have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship (City & Guilds, NVQ, ONC or equivalent) and should ideally hold valid COMPEX certifications in elements 1-4 and must also have gained a significant amount of experience of working within the Petro-chemical sector.

You should have a broad understanding of Instrumentation and electrical principles and experience in relation to maintenance, overhaul and repair techniques for refinery related equipment and wiring systems. You should have excellent communication skills and be fully conversant with Root Cause Analysis and defect elimination techniques and processes. You should also be IT literate, have a sound understanding of Safety legislation and quality procedures, and be a self-motivated individual.
