Job summary

Goldbury industrial coatings seeks a dedicated spray painter / powder coater to join its manufacturing team. The role involves applying powder coating and wet paint to metal components with attention to finish quality and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have a background in fabrication or warehouse environments, with experience in painting and prep work and a proactive attitude to learn new techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience with painting and prep work in fabrication or warehouse settings.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in coating and prep tasks.
• Basic maths for measurements and calculations during prep and application.
• Precise, detail-oriented approach to quality control and finishes.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to coating.
• Operate powder coating or wet spray equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply powder coating or wet spray evenly using spray guns and hand tools.
• Inspect finished products for quality, colour consistency, and surface defects.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Assist with hanging/packing other tasks as required.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including PPE usage.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and machinery used in the coating process.
