Job summary

Hereford Galvanizers Ltd is seeking a skilled Powder Coating Sprayer for our Shropshire Powder Coaters division. The role focuses on preparing surfaces, applying powder coatings, and maintaining equipment to ensure a flawless finish.

You will work with a team to meet production targets in a safe environment. Experience in powder coating or industrial painting is essential, with a good understanding of curing processes, film thickness control, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in powder coating or industrial painting.
• Ability to maintain consistent finish quality.
• Knowledge of curing processes, equipment and film thickness control.
• Reliable, motivated and committed to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Operate powder coating equipment for a flawless finish.
• Gun maintenance: daily cleaning, setup, and adjustment.
• Mix and match powder coatings to achieve desired colours and finishes.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve coating process or equipment issues.
