Job summary

Barker Ross Group is seeking a reliable Powder Coater / Metal Finisher to prepare and finish a range of metal products as part of the Operations team in Nottingham. You will powder coat white goods and other items, degrease and prepare surfaces with hand and power tools, and perform quality checks to ensure a high standard of finish.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive approach to production. Shift Mon-Thu 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-12pm, with overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in powder coating, metal finishing or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• A reliable and dependable approach to work.
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• A flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the operation.
• Good communication skills.

The Role

As a Powder Coater / Metal Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing a range of products to a high standard. You will work as part of the Operations team and play an important role in ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Powder coating white goods, trolleys and other metal products
• Degreasing and cleaning products before powder coating
• Preparing surfaces using hand and power tools
• Buffing and polishing where required
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring consistency in finished products
• General manufacturing and assembly duties
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Supporting other areas of the manufacturing operation when required
• Following company HSE policies and safe working practices

Shift Details

• £14.00 per hour
• Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm
• Friday 7am-12pm
• Overtime available on Saturdays
