Job summary

Annyalla Chicks UK is looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Assistant Hatchery Manager to join our team at our Wrexham Hatchery. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with poultry or production experience to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the day to day management of a modern hatchery operation.

Proven people-management or supervisory experience in a production or agricultural environment.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a management team.

Responsibilities

Supporting the management of all core hatchery operations, including egg intake, incubation, hatching, chick handling, and dispatch.
Leading, supervising, and training hatchery staff to ensure effective teamwork and adherence to company procedures and standards.
Assisting with workforce planning, daily task allocation, and performance monitoring.
Overseeing coordination of egg and chick transport, including liaising with drivers and ensuring vehicle checks and maintenance schedules are followed.
Monitoring and enforcing hygiene, biosecurity, and health & safety standards throughout the hatchery.
Maintaining accurate production, quality, and performance records and supporting audits where required.
