Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking an Assistant Production Manager for a poultry hatchery in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The role supports the Hatchery Manager, ensuring efficient operations, safety, and high production standards while developing the production team.

The position involves shift work on a two-week rotating pattern, with on-call duties, driving requirements, and a focus on hygiene, biosecurity and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification required.
• Right to work in the UK or valid visa.
• Experience in poultry, agriculture, or production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support hatchery production day-to-day management from egg handling to chick dispatch.
• Supervise and develop production team members.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and biosecurity standards.
• Monitor production performance and keep accurate records.
• Coordinate movement of eggs and chicks and schedule/maintain vehicles.
• Support operation, maintenance and servicing of hatchery equipment.
• Identify production issues and drive improvements with Hatchery Manager.
• Provide out-of-hours on-call support.
