Job summary

Fane Valley in Lisburn is seeking a proactive Poultry Farm Manager to oversee pullet rearing from day-old chicks to 16 weeks, ensuring bird health, welfare, biosecurity and productivity. You will lead the daily farm operations, combining hands-on livestock management with planning and administration, while working with the Poultry Team to meet business objectives and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry and wider agricultural industry.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel for reports and records.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and in a busy team.
• Proactive approach with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
• Ideally holds a degree or HND in agriculture or animal science and knowledge of modern poultry production.

Responsibilities

• Manage rearing of pullets from day-old chicks to 16 weeks with high standards of health, welfare, biosecurity and productivity.
• Lead day-to-day farm operations, combining hands-on livestock management with planning and administration.
