Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Lincolnshire is seeking a hands-on Farm Support Assistant to join our broiler farming operations across Lincolnshire. The role involves traveling between our farms to help prepare facilities for bird placements and to maintain high welfare, health and biosecurity standards.

You will work 40 hours per week, any 5 days from 7, with full training provided and the potential to gain a Poultry Passport qualification.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel between farm locations.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Agriculture or poultry experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day poultry farm operations with welfare, health and biosecurity.
• Assist with preparing poultry houses for bird placements (ventilation, heating, feed, water, lighting).
• Maintain records relating to birds, feed, supplies and farm activities.
• Support flock management through weighing, vaccinations, catching and collections.
• Maintain housekeeping across buildings, grounds and roadways.
• Monitor equipment, report defects and assist with minor repairs.
• Ensure procedures, hygiene standards and environmental practices are followed.
• Work with Farm Managers to support flock performance and security.
• Participate in training and development on poultry production and farm management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.
