Job summary

Pilgrims Europe is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to join our broiler operation at Langriville. You will work closely with the Farm Manager to keep birds, feed, and records up to date, and to supervise a hands-on team.

A driving license is essential; a company van may be provided subject to licence checks. This role offers 48 hours per week on a 5 from 7 pattern, with accommodation allowance and a potential bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Poultry Farm environment.
• Level 2 / 3 Poultry Passport Qualification.
• Be prepared to undertake NVQs.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Good communication skills.
• Sound decision making.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assist and maintain the smooth and efficient running of the broiler farm.
• Liaise with the Farm Manager to maintain records of birds, food, and supplies.
• Ensure adequate stock is maintained and ordering carried out as needed.
• Deputise for the Farm Manager and manage on call duties when required.
• Promote waste reduction and environmental practices across the operation.
