Job summary

Pilgrims Europe is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager for our Broiler operations. The role supports the Farm Manager in running daily broiler activities, maintaining records of birds, feed and supplies, and ensuring welfare standards are met.

You will develop skills through our Agriculture Academy while occasionally deputising for the Farm Manager and leading Farm Assistants. A 48-hour week on a 5 from 7 rota with accommodation allowance is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a poultry farm environment.
• Level 2/3 Poultry Passport Qualification.
• Willingness to undertake NVQs.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Good communication skills.
• Sound decision making.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assist and maintain the smooth running of the Broiler farm.
• Liaise with the Farm Manager to keep records up to date.
• Ensure adequate stock of birds, feed and supplies; order as needed.
• Manage and train Farm Assistants as required.
• Deputise for the Farm Manager when needed; respond to alarms.
