Job summary

TaiSan is looking for a Battery Cell Prototyping Engineer to develop next-generation Sodium Batteries. You will assemble and optimize multilayer pouch cells, ensuring high precision and reproducibility while collaborating with various teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with battery cells, knowledge of solid-state systems, and strong attention to detail. The role offers an exciting opportunity to impact battery technology in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience assembling pouch and cylindrical battery cells.
  • Experience working with metallic anodes.
  • Knowledge of solid-state or polymer-based cells.
  • Strong understanding of pressure and temperature dependencies in battery cell assembly.
  • Familiarity with electrochemical testing mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble monolayer and multilayer pouch and cylindrical cells, ensuring high precision.
  • Work closely with technical group to address performance challenges.
  • Develop strategies to increase throughput toward 10-20 pouch cells per week.
  • Cooperate closely with electrode and electrolyte teams to ensure component compatibility.

Skills

Hands-on experience assembling pouch and cylindrical battery cells
Experience working with metallic anodes
Knowledge of solid-state or polymer-based cells
Strong understanding of pressure and temperature dependencies
Familiarity with electrochemical testing mechanisms
