Job summary

Evera Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading energy storage company in Coventry to recruit a Cell Development Engineer. You will translate new materials, cell designs and manufacturing concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions.

You will work across engineering, quality, manufacturing and supply chain teams, plan development trials, analyse electrochemical data and support scale-up of new cell formats and processes.

Qualifications

  • A Degree or Master's Degree in Electrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in lithium-ion battery development, testing, materials evaluation or manufacturing process development.
  • Knowledge of battery cell components, materials and electrochemical behaviour.
  • Experience planning and analysing development trials or experimental programmes.
  • Familiarity with electrochemical testing techniques such as cycling, EIS, CV, GITT/PITT or similar methods.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Job description

The Cell Development Engineer will support the development of next-generation battery technologies, helping to translate new materials, cell designs and manufacturing concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions. Working across engineering, quality, manufacturing and supply chain teams, you will contribute to cell development activities from early-stage trials through to validation and industrialisation.
