Job summary

TaiSan is seeking a Solid-State Electrolyte Scientist to lead the development of next-generation battery technologies in Cambridge, UK. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Materials Science, hands-on experience with lithium/sodium battery systems, and a strong understanding of solid electrolyte-metal anode interactions. Responsibilities include optimizing battery systems, conducting interface analysis, and collaborating with teams to scale technologies. Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with lithium and/or sodium battery chemistries.
  • Hands-on experience with solid-state, semi-solid, or quasi-solid battery systems.
  • Strong understanding of interfaces in battery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize semi-solid and all-solid-state battery systems.
  • Conduct in-depth interface analysis between solid electrolytes and metallic anodes.
  • Develop strategies to improve interfacial kinetics and enhance cycle life.

Skills

Experience with lithium and/or sodium battery chemistries
Understanding of interfaces in battery systems
Proficiency in electrochemical characterization techniques
Hands-on experience with solid-state battery systems
Familiarity with advanced characterization tools

Education

PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field
