Job summary

B&C Farming in North Norfolk seeks a bright, motivated individual to support our busy potato storage and grading operations. The role involves grading potatoes, loading seed bags, operating a telehandler and forklift, and assisting with other farm tasks as needed.

The position offers training, development opportunities, and a friendly, supportive team environment. It is a year-round role with varied hours and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Able to work alone and as part of a team.
• Experience driving manual handling equipment with appropriate certificates.
• Adaptable to weather-driven timescales and customer requirements.
• Full UK driving license.
• Experience in farming/factory environments and with potatoes.
• Experience moving boxes with a forklift.
• Able to identify improvement opportunities within operations.

Responsibilities

• Grade potatoes on grader and harvester.
• Bag seed.
• Use of telehandler.
• Treat or cut seed as required.
• Rogue cereals, sugar beet and potatoes.
• Prepare bags of potatoes for trials and direct customer sales.
• General maintenance of equipment and site.
• Maintain tidy and safe working environment.
• Occasional work on other farm activities when required.
