Job summary

Royal Mail Buckie Delivery Office is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 9-month fixed-term contract. The role runs 30 hours per week, from 07:00 to 17:00 across Monday to Saturday, at Buckie AB56 1BA, with a pay of £13.68 per hour plus paid overtime.

You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot in your local area, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weathers. Full training and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated with good time management
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
