Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) at the Westhill Delivery Office. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, building relationships with customers in your local area.

The role involves outdoor work, a rotating shift including some weekends, and full training with a uniform and a red Royal Mail van. The position is physically demanding but rewarding, with paid overtime and a 30-hour work week across Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.

Location: Westhill Delivery Office, AB32 6AB

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 Months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 6 across Monday - Saturday – 09:30/16:15 (16:45 Wed)*

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
