Job summary

The University of Oxford invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Sleep, Memory and Neuroimaging. Based in the Sleep and Memory group at Life and Mind Building, you will lead a longitudinal study combining behavioural memory testing, overnight sleep EEG and fMRI.

You will design and refine experimental protocols, recruit and test participants, analyze behavioural, EEG and MRI data, and contribute to publications and funding proposals.

Qualifications

• PhD/DPhil in cognitive neuroscience, psychology or related field with postdoc experience.
• Specialist knowledge on sleep and memory consolidation with overnight sleep studies.
• Experience with EEG data acquisition and MRI data acquisition; strong data-analysis skills in R/Python/MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a longitudinal, multi-session sleep/memory study with overnight EEG and fMRI.
• Develop and refine experimental methods; recruit and test participants.
• Process and analyse behavioural, sleep EEG and MRI/fMRI data; contribute to publications and funding proposals.
• Develop reproducible study materials, task code, data-management procedures and analysis workflows.
