Job summary

University of Oxford seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Sleep and Memory group led by Prof. Bernhard Staresina. The role involves coordinating a longitudinal study with behavioural tests, overnight sleep EEG and an fMRI session, across roughly one month.

You will develop methods, recruit participants, analyze sleep and imaging data, and contribute to publications and grant proposals. Fixed-term for one year.

Qualifications

• PhD and post-qualification research experience in cognitive neuroscience/related field.
• Specialist knowledge of sleep and memory consolidation and experience with overnight sleep studies.
• Experience designing or implementing behavioural and/or neuroimaging experiments.
• Experience with EEG/MRI data acquisition and analysis; strong quantitative data-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a longitudinal, multi-session human study over ~1 month.
• Process and analyse behavioural, sleep EEG and MRI/fMRI data.
• Contribute to publications, conference presentations and research funding proposals.
• Develop reproducible study materials, task code, data-management procedures and analysis workflows.
