We are seeking
a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our work with Dr Filipa Simões on a BBSRC-funded collaborative project as part of the consortium (CellTalkHDD) involving investigators from the University of Cambridge (Professor Sanjay Sinha - consortium lead PI; Dr Richard Tyser; Professor Sarah Teichman) and University of Oxford (Professor Paul Riley), studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms of human heart development.
The ideal candidate will hold, or be near completion of, a relevant PhD degree and have experience in molecular/cellular biology related to the work. They should be highly motivated with enthusiasm for science and possess good organizational, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a research team is essential. Experience in cardiovascular research, working with zebrafish models, and familiarity with hPSC-derived in vitro models, 2D/3D imaging, confocal, and lightsheet microscopy, would be advantageous.
This full-time position involves experimental work at the IDRM, with potential for some remote analytical work.
